Construction

While growing up, Dale’s father was a bi-vocational minister who served both as a pastor and a general contractor.  During his early teen years, he would often accompany his father to a job site performing tasks that would help his father.  This began teaching him skills such as mixing mortar and concrete, nailing up framing, etc.  Later he became a carpenter’s helper further developing his construction skills.  His father also taught him how to manage construction jobs.

His father, brother and Dale formed a company, Franks and Associates, Inc., that became well known in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado as construction managers and church builders.  During this period, Dale set up and supervised construction jobs and traveled to remote locations as a consultant and to set up jobs.

Later he took classes, qualified to take state contractors tests, and passed the tests to receive his general contractors license in New Mexico and California. He received a GB98 general contractors license in New Mexico and a class B general contractors license in California.  More information about my construction experience can be found on his business web site at https://www.edfsr.com.  (This link will take you to different web site.)

While serving as pastor of Santa Rosa Foursquare Church in Santa Rosa, California, where he was employed by Renda Chiddix Inc., a construction contracting firm under contract with Safeway to perform construction maintenance for over 300 Safeway stores in Northern California and Nevada.  He was employed as Safety Manager and Marketing Coordinator.  He often traveled with one of the principals of the firm to different stores to assess personnel and material requirements necessary to complete project requirement at that store.
